Matthew Bishop

Matthew is an award-winning journalist. He spent 26 years at The Economist, where his roles included Business Editor, Globalisation Editor and New York Bureau Chief. He is the author of several books, including Philanthrocapitalism: How Giving Can Save the World (described as “important” by President Bill Clinton) and The Road From Ruin, which set out an agenda for the reform of capitalism after the 2008 crash. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Global Governance. Matthew co-founded the #givingtuesday campaign and the Social Progress Index. Jennifer Zhu Scott

Jennifer is a seasoned entrepreneur, having cofounded and exited one of the first education companies in China. She gained her FinTech expertise through her regional strategic leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and is listed in FinTech100 by NextMoney in 2016. In 2014, she was appointed as one of the 18 council members of China Council convened by the Global Agenda Council, the World Economic Forum’s think tank. In 2016, she was reappointed as one of 24 council members of The Future of Blockchain Council at WEF. In 2013, Jennifer was named by WEF as a Young Global Leader. Jennifer is a China Fellow of Aspen Institute and a permanent member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Kavita is a recipient of UN social finance innovator award in 2015 for being an integral part of the founding green bond team at The World Bank. At ConsenSys, Kavita heads the unique VC-hedge fund, investing in next-generation blockchain technologies revolutionizing our current systems. Previously she has been running over $250M fund aligned with UN SDGs infusing capital in technologies providing first time or low-cost access around the world. She has set up innovative investment funds across East Africa, Middle East, South Asia and recently in the US for past 16 years through World Bank, IFC, McKinsey and The Schmidt Family office. She founded and headed World Bank's first innovation fund in 2010. She is on the board and advisor of various accelerators and foundations across the world like google accelerator social track, MIT Solve (Sr. Advisor), Vatican's Right Now foundation for impact investments, Mandela foundation etc. She is an MIT and Media lab alum.
